Made from 100% Chardonnay with six years on lees in the bottle. Whilst a good drink, this seems to be stuck in second gear. Lots of yeasty, wholemeal bread, brioche and creamy characters playing the main game, but some more get up and go would be of benefit. I was hoping for some more stone fruit to rear its head, but not to be. Stewed apple lingers along with a skinsy feel from the lees plus some a subtle ginger nut biscuit like spice to close. It goes okay.
Drink now to five years.
