Choc-dipped dark cherries and fruit bun spices are all the rage here. A faint dried red petal perfume slowly diffuses and a shimmer of nuttiness seems to wriggle through on slow release. That core of dark fruit pins itself to the frame as notes of dried sage and mint wander about. A wine with shape, length and a finish that just won't let go, this is a very good buy for the asking price. I suspect it will age nicely too. Well played.
