Angove Brightlands Shiraz 2021

A standout release from Angove, the Brightlands Shiraz unites the finest barrels of the Warboys and Angels Rise.

This is the second release of the now flagship wine, and it is a clear step up from the two single-vineyard releases, ensuring the sum of the parts is greater.

Tasted over a few days, this Shiraz reveals a quiet sense of class with an effortless poise and sophistication.

Opening with an abundant basket full of plums, dark cherries, boysenberries and red berries, dark chocolate, vanilla, mushroom broth and cedar add elegant savoury nuances. It's a generous wine but doesn't possess clout, nor is it bulky or weighed down. Fruit bun spices and Chinese Five Spice are brushed onto an exceptional length that seems never-ending. Already with three years of bottle under its belt prior to release, this is an ageworthy Shiraz. Cellar this with confidence for decades and expect to embrace its graceful evolution.
