I spent some time with winemaker Adam Chapman last year discussing the Granite Belt region. Hats off to the guy for the passion he has for the region. The detailed vineyard maps and soil composition data were among a host of things he shared with me.
An enjoyable Chardonnay here. Aromas of whipped butter, grilled fig, lime juice, and toasted nuts. White peach plays a neat cameo before citrusy characters hit their straps in the mouth complimented by creamy vanilla oak with the nuttiness hitting back and having the final word on a long finish.
I'd happily have a glass or two.
Drink now to six years.
90/100 - Very good
