Note: Stark is still doing some consulting. A quick look through the 2019s and this Shiraz Viognier was one of my favourites. The Barbera and Shiraz were impressive too. Cabernet and Tannat were tannic beasts.
This wine is the flagship with pretty aromas from the outset. The Viognier component really shines bright like a diamond. Apricot and white flowers run riot. Rowe tells me the final blend will be around 17% Viognier - that's up there for such a blend. Stunning red plum and red berry aromas also captivate. Take a sip and blueberries fold over with ease with a touch of char and a granite minerality undertow. Well balanced at this point, there's a fabulously moreish length with a fine mat of tannin to close. Captivating now, I'd be very keen to see where things are at once it has been blended, bottled and had some time to settle.
To be released at the end 2020 (perhaps).
