Part of Oakridge's Vineyard Series, this Henk Pinot Noir is seriously good, but it has me convinced that Henk is a better Chardonnay site.
Kicking off with an enticing savoury presence, think puff of earth, mushroom compost, tea tree and orange peel. Red and dark cherries drive the fruit profile, roasted meats, the acid draws moisture from the mouth ever so slowly. Drying to finish with dried herbs, autumnal things and a firmish spice, the latter tells me that some bottle age is going to be its friend.
