What's Christmas without sparkling Shiraz? But that is part of the identity issue facing this style of wine - for some, sparkling Shiraz only seems to make an appearance at Christmas time. And how disappointing it is that it's pigeon holed to be best enjoyed in such a narrow window of the year? Sparkling Shiraz couldn't be any more versatile - drink as an aperitif, with a meal, or even serve with dessert - not many wines can boast such appeal.

This Moxie is a non vintage blend bringing together parcels from 1996 to more recent years. Depth and richness are delivered in spades. Dark fruits and berry pudding sit at the core. Super smooth in the mouth, baking spices time their run late before a lick of sweetness wraps it up. There's a swagger and charisma about this which can't be denied.

Fabulous drinking and a steal for the money.
