A wonderful expression of Chardonnay from the Eden Valley.
From vines planted in 1979, roughly two thirds spent seven months in oak, 50% of which was new. Those creamy characters from the oak have fused well with a delicate nutty presence. A whiff of custard apple add levels of interest as does the width provided in the mouth. Pistachio nougat and a splash of lemon chime in late. The acid is still a little firm as peach skin feels drive the textural element to a long finish. A very tidy drink for the money.
