Two wines from Red Heads Wine turned up the week. A pleasing surprise from a label new to me. Here's a fabulous Barbera worth wrapping your lips around.
From the Adelaide Hills, it's hard not to be caught up by the pretty aromas of purple flowers and blueberries spilling from the glass. Scents of cut tomato bush tuck in behind too. Finishing second place in the Adelaide Hot 100 wines, this Barbera is velvety smooth with blackberry paste and juicy blackberries crooning for your attention. Soft spices rattle along beautifully - a perfect send off. A terrific wine and great buying.
Drink now to five years.
