A softer and more approachable wine for now, this is my preferred Shiraz out of the Stonehaven Limited Release Vineyard range. With similar characteristics to its siblings, it's a wine that has a soothing appeal.
Blackberries, dark plums and Cherry Ripe sit in the driver's seat. From a single vineyard, it sees oak for 18 months. Handfuls of cloves step forward with a neat touch of caramel. A wine with bevelled edges, that length and mouthfeel tick the boxes. It's one of those wintertime reds that calls for sips by the fireplace or just kicking back and chilling out after a long work week. Nicely done.
Drink to eight years.
