Hold tight for now. This Yangarra Estate King's Wood Shiraz took a couple of days to work into a neat groove. Be patient and you'll be rewarded.
It's worth noting that the price has increased gradually every year since 2018 when it was $55 and it is now pegged at $70.
French and Austrian oak was used for 18 months. The use of 15% whole bunches shines through building the savoury drive.
Berry pie and coulis, blueberries, mulberries, a curious olive tapenade and saltbush presence are the main players. Lacy and elegant, although it is not as fruit-forward as the previous vintage of King's Wood tasted yet it still shows polish. Tense tannins are drawn out and dry out ever so slowly. Things will only get better. Give it the time it deserves.
