Just add this to your shopping cart! The team at Soumah love their Italian varieties and this Savarro is a delight. Right in the wheelhouse for those who enjoy clean, fresh and bright wines, sinking a glass or two is a very easy task.
But to be clear, Savarro is the cellar name for the wine and the variety used is Savagnin (also known as Bon Blanc, Heida and Clevner in other parts of the world.
A late ripening grape, the fruit was fermented in tank on lees. The lees have added a delightful textural presence that just slides in adding a wonderful detail yet it still ensures that the fruit sings.
Highlighted by white fleshed stonefruit, green melon, freshly squeezed apple juice and lemon juice, pretty white flowers add attractive aromas. A delicate minerally undertow slides in with good acid lines. Add a little flicker of honey and there is plenty to consider. Talc feels loom up on close with a superfine spice having the last word. There is a lot to like about this release. The flow and feel are hitting the right areas - the best I've seen thus far. It's a great drink hands down. Perhaps Savignin needs to be on your radar?
