From Chapel Hill's 1941 Old Vines and yet to be released, give this a little lie down and it should pay dividends.
Raspberries, red currants, raspberry rope, cola and red apple skin dazzle as they set the scene. Still a little tense, there is a silty tannin feel, something I see more in southern Barossa Grenache off the clay soils but rarely from Grenache wines hailing from the McLaren Vale region. That tension holds it in good stead from some bottle age as does the acidity that comes across a bit bitey for now finishing with a red apple crunch. A fine array of fruit bun spices sit on a long finish.
