Easily the best Indomitus Albus I have seen thus far, this 2024 continues the experimentation by Gundog Estate winemaker Matt Burton to tease out aromas, flavours and textures. For a different take on Semillon, check this out.
A delicious vibrancy greets you and its driven by Meyer lemons and Kaffir limes. Texture has been built into the palate fabulously after seeing 175 days on skins, and damn its tasty leaving a sheet of green tea texture to peruse. The acid is tightly wound but loosens up enough to tease and urge another sip. A sherbetty tang kicks in to gear before a crisp finish to close. A wine that will age a treat if that is your thing, but regardless, it's such a delicious drink. One for the black book.
