Wonderfully aromatic, it launches with fragrant white field flowers, citrus blossom and lemon zest.
The steely presence of the Polish Hill River raises its hand, as does the slatey minerality. Underripe green apple, a grapefruit tang, limes and lime leaf fold into one another with ease. The longer it's open, it relaxes and seems to find its groove, revealing some bath powder aromas. The acid shows some tension throwing a lasso around the palate, and I get the feeling this will be better as an aged wine rather than for now, but time will tell. But if immediacy is your thing, give it a chill and that battered fish or that bowl of sea salt sprinkled fries won't stand a chance.
