An excellent Riesling from a vintage that did everything it could to halt progress, this wears every one of those 95 points with flashing lights. Bravo!
A wicked frost swept through the Polish Hill River sub-region on 12 November, decimating the crop. Down by approximately 70%, the clarity and precision to deliver this wine is a masterstroke. All power to winemaker Steve Baraglia and his team.
Fresh and exploding with juicy limes, I just want in. Wines like this have the ability to turn a tasting into a drinking, and that's precisely what happened. Lime leaf, flashes of green apple and a neat thread of chalkiness through the core build the pleasure factor. There is no denying the energy, joy and vibrancy. A whip crack of acidity and sherbetty tang on the finish reminds you that you're alive. What a cracker. Go here!
