The Georges Vineyard is located in the Yarra Valley's Seville East and perched 180 metres above. This is a generous wine sure to lure you in.
I was hooked from the outset. Struck match and flint, burnt butter, caramel and vanilla cream. Whiffs of soft cheese and butterscotch too. Concentrated peach and nectarine drive the deal hard. A gentle caress of nuttiness with some lemon curd tang adds value too. Creamy oak has some solid bookend presence pressing through to a long and generous finish. I could curl up with this no worries, and perhaps I did.
Drink to six years.
