It's always great to see this Hilltops No.1 sit alongside its No. 2 sibling.
Dark berries and char straight up. This strikes me more as a barbecue wine given its meaty characters and firmish drying tannins. Scents of blue fruit and some mulberries in the mouth but the oak keeps rearing its head. The oak calms on the second day and there's a better flow with the fruit. All up, I'd have a glass with a steak for sure.
Drink now to eight years.
