Pinot Noir that comes across more as a light bodied Shiraz.
I don't see any Wolf Blass wines, so when visiting a mate he dropped some of this in my glass I was intrigued. I don't know the background to the label but it raises more questions than gives answers.
It's Pinot Noir from an unknown region - nothing is stated on the bottle. It's also marketed as 'early press' which I read as 'we press it off as soon as fermentation has been completed'. Nothing ground breaking there.
The wine itself is a pretty easy slurp. Red and blue berries plus cherry fruit with peppery spice and a smooth finish. There's some depth to taste but it's not your pretty and dancy kinda Pinot.
Drink now.
