Here is a lesson in patience. Don't drink this now. Please don't. Give it a couple of years in bottle and your patience will be rewarded. This is a fantastic Granite Belt Shiraz well worth waiting for.
On opening, it was a touch thin and tinged with a slight green herby edge. Three days later it was sleek and drinking impressively. It's a wine that builds depth and momentum - give it that chance to show its best self.
Caramel aromas come straight from 50% new American oak. Dried Mediterranean herbs add some savoury appeal. Medium-bodied pleasure, it is glossy and polished. Beautifully balanced, soft tannins tippy-toe through the mouth. Red and dark plums plus alluring blueberries ride tall. A hint of dried cranberries can be seen with time. A rush of Dutch dark chocolate drapes itself across the palate leaving a rum and raisin finish to consider. Track this down, and then wait for your reward.
