Humble, classy and adorned with sheets of sophistication. A brilliant Fumé Blanc that's in the zone.
There is a lacy and sexy appeal about this wine. It's that soft caress, gentle smile and generous heart. Wonderfully defined, it's fine-boned in its shape but notwithstanding its complex persona. I could get really comfortable here, and I don't like Sauv Blanc - fact! Barrel fermentation (100% with 25% new French oak) brings out the best in this variety I find. It's silky with a delicate creamy drive. Tropical fruits are draped throughout with a hint of green capsicum. That creaminess is in the target zone and a place I'm happy to just sit and indulge for now. An excellent wine.
Drink now to three years.
