Off the Narrow Road Vineyard which lies on the eastern edge of the Barossa and a short drive north of the Schild Estate winery, this is a joyous Shiraz with density. It's generous and I'm loving it.
Generous is definitely the word. And dense. Think plentiful servings of dark chocolate, blackberries and dark plums shrouded with a blanket of aniseed, cloves and black earth. Flecks of dried herb make a move with more air under its wings adding a soothing wave of cedar and caramel. It's a wine that reaches long and urges you closer. Fine spices just hum. It developed beautifully over a couple of days, but perhaps give it some time? Don't be in a rush mind you, this has well over a decade in it.
