A cracking drink, this medium-bodied Shiraz Viognier from Capital Wines is on the money.
The dollop of Viognier (4%) walks beside Shiraz which offers earthy, black tea leaves and a little meat board to build an engaging aroma profile. Black cherries and plums aren't far from the action and flow about effortlessly. Sheets of fine spices skim the surface to tease then get in deep leading to a long and memorable finish. I could snuggle up to this and easily enjoy a few glasses. It's a great wine and one I'd happily recommend.
