Barbecue wine. Dark, inky and brooding with generous spice.
Whiffs of meat and jus are more confronting than enticing. Things settle with time in the glass. Mouth-filling dark fruit up first before a spice bomb explodes and consumes the mouth. A touch of clove late before firm and drying tannins to finish. It goes okay but I'd need food alongside.
Drink now to five years.
