This wine looked much better on day two of tasting. It was like an overexcited child when first opened but chilled out and showed its better self with time in the glass.
Red berries and tangy red apple acidity to start. Once things settle, dark berry fruit rears its head. Roasted meats and shards of dark chocolate mosey on in too and sit pretty. Nutmeg and caramel come late. There's a vibrant energy to this wine that's hard to ignore yet it's a wine which will pay further dividends with time in bottle.
Drink 2019 to 2026.
