Great to see a Roussanne standing on its own two feet rather than blended away. A tidy drop from the Hunter Valley.
Golden straw in appearance, lemon and barley plus touches of ginger pulsate through a welcoming introduction. Barrel fermented in French oak for ten months, it's generous and rounded through the mouth with white-fleshed stonefruit feels. You get a sense that it literally rolls around like a big ball without obstruction. Great width and length, cinnamon and ginger spices call for warm chicken salads and creamy pasta dishes.
Drink now to five years.
