I've read a bit about Piano Piano wines but I have never had the opportunity to make an acquaintance. Things changed when I saw this on the shelf ($36) at an independent store. Let's just say I am very impressed by my purchase.
From Victoria's Beechworth region, the vineyard sits 400 metres above.
This is such a delightful wine. It's curves and generosity plus sizzling depth all contribute to a pleasurable Chardonnay.
Barbecued nectarines, Jersey caramel, toasted cashews, coconut husk and a glorious creamy mouthfeel all contribute to a wine whispering for your attention. Light golden appearance in the glass, that creaminess and width keep calling me back. It's that quiet person in the corner, whom given some attention, demonstrates layers of intrigue and depth with a softly spoken voice.
Would I buy this again? Absolutely!
Drink to five years.
