d'Arenberg's marketing gun Jack Scupham might need to start sending through some arthritis cream with these samples which possess such incredibly long names. Gee, that took some typing. All that aside, this is another fab Mencia release from Chester Osborn and his team.
This is the fourth release of this variety from d'Arenberg. Hold it to the light and a pretty crimson and cerise greets the eye. A firm, grippy type, it softens with time. Dense red fruits coil around the mouth with kicks of earth and flashes of rhubarb. A dusting of herbs plus some spices and black pepper are scattered through the mouth. It leaves you puckering and seeking more and is the type of wine you'd embrace on a cool evening with plentiful plates of food.
Drink to five years.
