A buffet of juicy fruit throws itself at you. Blueberries, mulberries and raspberries all rise up and are supported by pretty scents of red petals, red licorice and cherry pie aromas. Stunning! Super fine sandy tannins speak of the soils these vines are grown in, and having walked the site earlier this year, the impact of the vineyard is telling. A flash of meatiness comes and goes but that thick paste of blueberries and mulberries just hit and stick. The balance is supreme and the length seemingly hangs on for days. A sheer delight to drink now, I'd love to see this with ten years under its belt.
