A dense and concentrated Shiraz from Ox Hardy. It gets in deep and will shape up even better over the medium term.
Opening with rum 'n' raisin, dark plums, drunken cherries and blueberries, it's a busy wine with plenty to unpack. Vanilla, dark chocolate and chocolate brownie build with time in the glass, dainty spices tease with their scattered presence yet they entice and deliver a terrific moreishness. It's a very good glass of McLaren Vale Shiraz and a reliable one at that when you spot that vibrant label on the shelf.
