A very young Cabernet, the Welland Wines Valley & Valley Cabernet is a blend of Barossa and Eden Valley fruit. Quite tense initially, this needs some time to compose itself.
It's a very different Cabernet to the 2022 release. This 2023 is quite leafy with plenty of those capsicum and herby characters. A good dose of blackberries and blackcurrants work their way through the mid palate with firm cocoa tannins leaving the mouth dry. It's a wine that has potential but the green things pull it back for now.
