What a beautiful cellar reserve release from Coonawarra's Wild Game Wines. Give it some air, sit back, loosen the belt buckle and sip slow - this is a treat for those who enjoy aged Cabernet.
Aromas of cedar are prominent early on but settle. Blackberry pastilles, black currants and fruit cake are all in the driver's seat. The layers of interest unfurl with ease, think wallet leather, black olives, dark chocolate, burnt fig, rosemary and dried mint. The length and composure are captivating delivering a soothing wine with plenty of life left in the bag. Brick dust tannins have the final word and persuade you that little bit more. Great stuff!
