An intriguing Barossa Valley Cabernet Franc with plenty going on.
Up front scents of grilled peppers, tomato bush, camphor, barbecued steak on opening. Time in the glass helps things settle and show their best. Dark cherry, blackberry pie and cassis then step forward. It starts juicy but dries out quicker than expected. Firm tannins and tense acid shape this wine for aging. Chinese Five Spice drive a long finish. A wine that needs food, something hearty and generous would be best.
