A solid companion without being an excitement machine. A Shiraz that is very much in the traditional mould. The aging has been done for you so there is no need to wait.
Cedar and sandalwood, flashes of caramel too. Oak certainly plays a big part in this wine. Dark chocolate, weighty dark berry fruits and dark plums fill the mouth. Purple fruit and cola rise up later in the piece but it's a wine that just strolls along without too much fuss.
Drink to three years.
