Gee, I love these new Pizzini labels. They just open the door to a new legion of fans. This Nebbiolo will do the same given its ready-to-drink now persona - something Nebbiolo of old never dreamt of.
You wouldn't think this came from a variety traditionally held back to age. Get it while it's hot! I reckon this would even take a slight chill in the warmer months. Like the Sangiovese, this has 'food friendly' written all over it. Sour cherries flood the mouth. Some tar, dried herbs and dried red flowers. Firmish tannins roll about but there is an unmistakable vibe that encourages you to tap your foot to the beat and get moving. Wood fired pizza or tomato based dishes here we come!
Drink to five years.
