Flametree produces quality wines and this Chardonnay is the best release in this range that I have seen for a number of years. Well priced at $30, you'll be able to track it down for a little less. And you should track it down, it's a great drink.
Spending nine months in barrel, it opens with flint, caramel and vanilla but then it is all stone fruit. Fleshy nectarines take control with terrific length and width. Some nutty nuances chime in. Ruby grapefruit slides over the top with a sheet of creaminess pinning everything together. Ginger spices run long and add moreishness. The shape and feel hit the mark. It's a big thumbs up from me.
