Weight, shape and balance get you in the mood with this Chardonnay from southern Burgundy.
It's tense on the mid-palate and not lacking flavour, its measured density a highlight.
Spiced apple, pears, white fleshed stonefruit, a dash of honey and a fine tickle of ginger bread spice muse to get you in the mood. The fruit is imprinted on the palate and refuses to move as a fine white pebble minerality sits in the background. It's quite delightful, really, particularly if you lean towards considered wines that cause reason to ponder.
I thoroughly enjoyed this and I'm sure it will find a horde of folk who will feel the same. Great stuff and well priced.
