The Pinot Noirs from Pegasus Bay don't ever seem to skip a beat. This 2023 release is deliciously savoury, and if you are unfamiliar with the brand, it's best you introduce yourself.
It opens with earthy tones, pine needles and mocha. Blackberry and dark plum fruits swoon. The longer it sits, the more it comes into its own and offers a subtle line of tension before dried twigs, tilled earth and black tea release that familiar Pinosity we've come to know from the North Canterbury region. Outrageously silky, incredibly moreish - simply brilliant.
