Sexy as always, this is always my favourite Grenache in the Yalumba range.
From the same vineyard as the Tri-Centenary (these vines were planted 1929 and 1949), it's bursting with violets and blueberries and its delicate florals are stunning and captivating. Grenache absolutely shines in sandy soils and Vine Vale is the dance floor of pretty Barossa examples. These bush vines are dry grown and the sandy and powdery tannins come as no surprise. It sees large format French oak (7-11 years of age) to ensure the fruit does all the talking. And it does. Silky as, I dare you to stop at one glass. A brilliant Barossa Grenache!
