A very impressive McLaren Vale Shiraz, this Bec Hardy Pertaringa Reserve speaks very much of the region and is drinking beautifully now, if temptation gets the better of you.
It sees a combination of new and seasoned French oak for 18 months and the striking feature is how well the oak has been integrated with the fruit.
Aromas of Black Forest cake, cherry liqueur get the juices flowing. Plush dark berry and plum fruit is parceled up by a suite of fine exotic spices. Time in the glass sees licorice and dark chocolate rise up. A wine with great length and width, soft tannins add further detail. This is a great Shiraz and an easy recommendation.
