Camino Wine Co Grenache Blanc de Noir 2024

A white wine made from Grenache sourced from 1912 planted vines, the fruit was whole bunch pressed and immediately removed from skins to ensure no hint of colour seeps through. Super clear and clean, this Camino Wine Co Grenache Blanc de Noir is a really pleasant drink.

Red apples and pomegranate flood the mouth on opeing. It's a wine that's more about presence and texture feel than varietal prettiness. It's initially tense to taste but that settles. The weight through the mid-palate adds another dimension and it hits and sticks. Lively crunchy acidity is the name of the game as white pepper clings to the tail. A wine that needs food, I'm thinking a cheese board, KFC or it even has the strength to wrestle a burger or a snag on bread. In all, it's a different take on Barossa Grenache as we know it and I like it.
