The house style at Lou Miranda is to use oak generously, and this Leone tows the company line. Dense with some muscle, throw it at a roast beef.
Dark plums, blackberries, baked blueberries and dark chocolate form a bold and tense core. Flanked by baking spices and black pepper, there is no doubting its power. Some cedar and caramel courtesy of the oak clings to the flank. Softening over a couple of days, be sure to decant in advance if enjoying this now. Roast night is certainly on the cards.
