There is a gorgeous prettiness and attractive floral characteristic which draws me to Vine Vale Grenache. This release from Yalumba is no different.
Made with whole bunch fermentation, the fruit comes from dry grown bush vines planted in 1949 on sandy loam soils over clay.
Buckets of juicy raspberry fruit reach out from the get-go. Attractive red florals and raspberries keep my nose in the glass. A deft touch of roasted nut can be pulled out too. The hum of soft spices wrap themselves around a long and moreish finish. Dangerously soft, it's one of those wines you could sip away at contently without wanting to share.
Drink now to six years.
