Sourced from Carillion's Orange vineyard, this is a great drink.
Although this is the first time I've seen this wine come across the Qwine tasting bench, I was curious to find out it has skipped up $20 from the previous vintage. That's a fair hike but I'm sure there is a good reason for it. Reasons I'm not privy to...
Dried red flowers, petals, hints of violets - it's a great intro. Some leather, tilled earth and black tea add savoury pleasure. Through the mouth, red plums and dark cherries are firmly in the driver's seat. Time in the glass shows some drunken cherries too. A flicker of cedar looms up on close as fine spices run long. Drying and puckering, it's calling for roast beef.
