A cool label, a killer name plus some crafty winemaking and Usher Tinkler can't keep enough stock on the shelves. The demand for this Semillon is quite something.
Funky, there is a little sediment in the bottom, but don't let that deter you. Loaded with interest, you come across things such as white peaches, gooseberry, cut green herbs, dehydrated pineapple, green capsicum, lemon grass and white pepper. Preservative free, it spent three months in old French oak with no fining or filtration.
Made from 40-year-old vines, it was wild fermented on skins for 10 days, goes through MLF and no sulphur was added.
Wines like these aren't about the score but the feel and presence. You can see why those who love this style would go nuts for it.
