From a hot and dry year comes this Mudgee Cabernet Shiraz.
It's quite old school in appearance. There is not a lot of fruit to speak of as it runs down the savoury road. Warming through the mouth, it's earthy with some leather and even that scent of old church pews. It's spicy too and it lingers long.
I'm after lift and excitement but this has me weighed down. It goes OK but there are others in the Huntington range I'd go to first.
