A smashing Cabernet Franc from Canobolas Wines, I could get very comfortable with this. And perhaps I did.
Anchored by glorious aromas of purple flowers, it's a wine with silky lines and a shapely figure. What really engages you from the get-go is the seductive waltz between the fruit and savoury notes, only to be heightened by some tension and a fabulous balance. Blackberries, black cherries and blackcurrants come with the territory and melted dark chocolate slide in almost in stealth mode. Dried herbs shimmer adding further appeal only to be capped off by fabulously handled tannins that support a lengthy and classy finish. Oh yeah, this is good. Very good!
