It's been a while since I've looked at a Sticks wine so it's good to be back in the frame. Good Pinot doesn't come cheap, but for 25 bucks, gee this gives that theory a shake.
It slides into the commercial category and it is clear that it has been nipped and tucked to give it a sheen.
Dark cherries, red cherries, sour cherries, strawberries and a liberal dose of plums plant themselves on the mid-palate with a neat savoury drive courtesy of twigs and dried leaves. Soft spices are scattered about but the ride is smooth as it hugs the rails from gate to post.
Seeking a solid Pinot? This will appease without burning a hole in your hip pocket.
Drink to five years.
