This Oxford Landing One to One Shiraz ticks the box for quality and price. Some slow-cooked beef and a glass or two will offer plenty of joy.
Through a partnership with Greenfleet, every six bottles of One to One enjoyed will see another square metre of bushland planted in the ‘One to One Bushland’. The ‘One to One Bushland’ is located in the On Dja Dja Wurrung Country in Central Victoria, where Greenfleet is restoring the native ecosystem at Ngulambarra, meaning “meeting place” in Djaara language. This project is playing an important role in restoring endangered temperate woodlands and enhancing biodiversity, while also supporting the values of Traditional Owners.
Bright red fruit kicks things off as plums and boysenberries drive through the mid-palate. Barbecue spices and a kiss of dark chocolate add some flair. The mouthfeel has a rustic accent which I don't mind but that leans itself to be enjoyed beside food. A wine with a respectable length, this is tidy stuff without burning a hole in your pocket.
Drink to five years.
