A blend of Barossa and Eden Valley fruit, what a delightful drink. This is not the best Shiraz in the world, but damn, if you need that comforting ear or an embrace for the insides, this Head Wines Red should be your weapon of choice.
A bounty of blue and purple fruit saturates the aroma profile on opening and a good dollop of fruit is concentrated on the mid-palate. Satsuma plums, mulberries, blueberries, blackberries and dark cherries shift gear to some dark chocolate and touches of char. The oak plays a credible supporting role as an array of fine black pepper and barbecue like spices reach long and deliver a fabulous moreish appeal. A wine made for meat and chat, that Brazilian barbecue is calling. A picanha on the coals is where it's at. Yes!
